Dr Anasha Kumar
BPsySc (Hons) | DPsy (Clin)
As a therapist, I have Doctoral level qualifications in Clinical Psychology with over 10 years of experience practicing psychotherapy in a number of government and private settings. I primarily see adults for one-on-one psychotherapy sessions. I also accept referrals for dyads seeking family therapy for a parent/ caregiver and adult child.
While my practice is largely informed by relational psychodynamic theory, it is also transformed by Eastern philosophy, meditation practice and attachment theory.
I prefer to practice psychodynamic therapy as it has been found to create a longer-lasting impact that influences the way patients think, act and feel to help them develop their ability to love, work and enjoy life well beyond their course of psychotherapy.
